Kolathra Tharavadu Temple is situated at the suburbs of Kozhencherry town, about 1.5 kilometers eastwards on the northern side of Kozhencherry- Kadammanitta-Mannarakkulanji PWD road and 150 meters east of Sri Ayyappa Temple Pampadimon. Darsanam (Facing) of 3 Sree Kovils are eastwards. First Sree Kovil situated at the northern side is of Kolathra Swami. The second one (middle) situated immediate south of the first Sree Kovil is the Sree Kovil of Durga Devi. The southernmost Sree Kovil standing separately is the Sree Kovil of Yogeeshwara. Ladies between the age 10 and 50 are restricted to stand in front of the Sree Kovil of Yogeeshwara and lighting the lamps (Vilakku). We believe that the blessing of Kolathra Swami is protecting one and all of the family.
