Our works are not strictly confined to Temple and spiritual activities. The committee is keenly interested in the welfare of the members of the family. There are so many families suffering due to more than one reason. So from 1997 we have organized a scheme to help the members of the family who need help.
DETAILS OF THE SCHEME
1. Financial assistance to those who are in hardships due to serious diseases.
2. Educational help to the students facing financial problems.
3. Scholarships to the bright students.
4. Felicitating the students from our families who are bright in examinations of all types from SSLC including National Exams.
5. Financial help to the Marriage of girls.
6. Financial assistance for maintenance of old houses of those who have no support.

We have instituted a helping hand for the economically deserving family members. A portion of our annual collections will be dedicated to meet such expense. The amount received for the purpose shall be deposited in the account and given by means of cheque to needy members as per decision of the Committee after a through survey. We request every member to reduce spending extravaganza and to participate in the scheme in the name of Kolathra Swami in the happiest moment like Marriage, Birthday and Such other Celebrations. Your small help may save the life of a needy family. Please inform secretary after the remittance for accounting.

1. Bhajan Samithi:
We have a Bhajan Samithi conducting Bhajana twice in a month as per the schedule of Nithya Vilakku.
2. Spiritual Tour:
We conduct spiritual family tour in and outside of Kerala strictly for our family members once in a year.
3. Awards:
Encourage children of Kolathra family with educational scholarships and awards for SSLC, Plus 2 and other regional examinations. Please contact Committee members for details.
